We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the only source for Gods instruction on how to save our souls.\u00a0\u00a0Like the first Christians, we do not have, nor endorse additional creeds.\u00a0\u00a0Regardless of their intentions, they are man-made and not authorized in Scripture (Galatians 1:6-9)<\/p>\n<p>We are not perfect, but we know our Saviour is true and perfect.\u00a0\u00a0We are thankful that Jesus Christ died for our sins and humbly strive to be a church of which He will approve.\u00a0\u00a0The reason Christ suffered and died on the cross was not for a social issue like entertainment, politics, wealth, social status or environmental awareness.\u00a0\u00a0The Bible says Christ came from heaven to &#8220;Seek and save that which was lost&#8221;. Matthew 18:11\u00a0\u00a0As sinners , we have lost fellowship with God and our souls need saving.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully the Gospel message tells us about our Redeemer, our Saviour, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingforchrist.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/women1.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a>the One who has graciously given us the way to restore our lost fellowship with God.\u00a0Our goal at the Wellandport Church of Christ is to faithfully follow the Bible example of love and compassion toward all and to teach Christ&#8217;s message of salvation.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus said &#8220;For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?\u00a0\u00a0Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26<\/p>\n<p>While everyone seeks happiness in this life, we believe the only way to be truly happy in this world is not by ignoring God, but rather by sincerely obeying His will. Together we are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there is relevant Bible teaching, heartfelt worship, constant prayer, honest friendships and Christians dedicated to living for Christ inside and outside the walls of this building.
